Project Description

• Candidate will be the part of SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) group. Our PayTV platform is a video delivery solution for all kind of devices (mobile, tablet, TV, PC, etc.). We have deployed many DevOps technologies like; puppet, Salt, IPA, Foreman, Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, Nomad, Harbor, Dynatrace, etc.
• PayTV platform is a micro-service based multi-tenant platform catering to 100+ Cable TV Operators, designed to scale for 1+ million subscribers. We have two business model, Managed Service and In-Network. Under these categories, we have more than 80+ customers, so one has to be very cautious, while make any change in the system.

• As a SRE engineer, you will play an important part in troubleshooting, preparing RCA, writing scripts, supporting, and deploying updates, enabling new upcoming technologies of DevOps, etc.

Job Purpose

• Candidate will be part of the SRE team, and he/she will be closely working with other engineering groups like, Platform, Media, BI, Client, etc to understand the deployment / monitoring requirements.

Here’s what you get to do

• Candidate will be part of SRE team where he/she will be working as Associate Engineer doing deployments, accessing new technologies, understanding system, and looking for improvements (if any) using and exploring all deployed DevOps tools and technologies in system. We are open to adapt new DevOps technologies and would like to upgrade ourselves on regular intervals, this would be another exciting task, which should be done on regular basis. He/she will be responsible for understanding cross functional requirements and will be responsible to create, test and deploy the same.

Who we are looking for?

• We are looking a Candidate who is having good attitude and skills in learning new technologies and add value by being productive with little assistance. He or She needs to be a self-starter and should be able to learn the domain without spoon feeding.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field (Master’s Degree preferred)
• Strong understanding of following: Puppet, Docker, Ansible, Grafana / Prometheus, Icinga, Shell Scripting
• Basic understanding of following: Go-Lang
