Job Description
Applications are invited for the positions of Young Professional-II at DKMA on purely contractual basis for a period of one year extendable for two more years (01 year at a time) subject to requirement of the services of the YP-II in the organization on the basis of satisfactory performance.
YP-II (Editorial Work)
- MSc in Agricultural Science/Animal Science or allied sciences
or - MTech/ME/Integrated Dual Degree (BTech-MTech) in Biotechnology / Bioinformatics.
or - MA (English Mass Communication/English Journalism) with minimum one year of working experience in editorial capacity in reputed national level journal.
or - PG Diploma (English Mass Communication/ English Journalism) with minimum two years of working experience in editorial capacity in reputed national level journal.
- Post qualification experience in scientific editing and proof reading especially for research journals, magazines and books.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power, Point) and IT tools in designs/Adobe suite.
- Excellent English language skills in editing and writing.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and provide sound recommendations.

YP-II (Knowledge Bank)
- MCA
or - BTech (computer Science or IT or equivalent) with 60% marks
- Working experience in online publications software i.e. OJS in a reputed organizations/publishing house.
- Proficiency in Unix or Linux system administration
YP-II (Hindi Editorial)
- MSc in Agricultural Science/Animal Science or allied sciences
or - MTech/ME/Integrated Dual Degree (BTech-MTech) in Biotechnology / Bioinformatics.
or - MA (Hindi Mass Communication/Hindi Journalism) with minimum one year of working experience in editorial capacity in reputed national level journal.
or - PG Diploma (Hindi Mass Communication/Hindi Journalism) with minimum two years of working experience in editorial capacity in reputed national level journal.
- Post qualification experience in scientific editing and proof reading especially for research journals, magazines and books.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point) and IT tools in designs/Adobe suite.
- Excellent Hindi language skills in editing and writing.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and provide sound recommendations.
- Proficiency in editing, proofreading, feature writing, translation (English to Hindi and vise-versa).
YP-II (Content Design)
- Graduates with at least 60% marks in Computer Application/ Information Technology/ Computer Science/ artificial intelligence/ Operating System/ Software Engineering/ Computer Graphics with one-year experience in the relevant field.
or - 03 years Degree/Diploma with 60% marks in Printing Technology with specialization in graphics management.
- At least 1 year Diploma in Graphics Designing with specialization in Corel Draw, Photoshop.
- Working knowledge of Page Maker/ Photoshop/ Corel Draw/ In Design/ GIMP and good knowledge of typography.
- Knowledge of layout and designing of publications.
YP-II (Planning & Monitoring)
- MSc in Agricultural Science/Animal Science or allied sciences
or - Master in Business Management or Master in Computer Application.
- Experience in coordination and management
- Excellence in Administrative, Co-ordination activity in a scientific organization.
- Proficiency in computer application.
YP-II (Publication Management)
- MBA (Marketing) or equivalent (with minimum 60% marks) from a recognized institution and BCom/BBA/BBS (With minimum 60 % marks) from a recognized University/College (with minimum one year of experience in relevant field)
- Experience in marketing and sales in prints/publication house.
- Excellent knowledge in sales and marketing and inventory management in publishing house.
- Excellence in spoken and written English and Hindi.
YP-II (Library)
- Master degree in Library and Information Science from a recognized university/Institute.
- Working knowledge in OJAS/KOHA.
- Diploma in IT or Computer Science related to library management system.
- Working knowledge of OJAS/KOHA library Management software and library functions.
- Management of online e-Resource system.
YP-II (Audio Production)
- BTech with 60% marks or 3 years Diploma in Electronic Telecommunication/ sound and TV engineering with 60% marks
- One year experience of sound recording
- Audio editing and recording, Maintenance upto of audio records
YP-II (Video Production)
- Degree with 60% marks or 3 years Diploma in non-linear video editing/Video filming/ Photography/ Video Graphy with 60% marks, from any Govt. Institute or Recognize Institute.
- Skills in Final cut pro and Adobe premiere, Adobe after effects, Title motion graphics
- Skills in handling professional video camera and digital cine camera
- Two years work experience
- Working knowledge of Adobe audition/ any other sound editing software
- Knowledge of animation
- Knowledge of Interface design
YP-II (e-Resource)
- Masters Degree in Agricultural Sciences/ Library and Information Sciences/ Computer Applications/Basic Science
- 2 years’ experience in e-resources management or any consortium.

ICAR-Directorate of Knowledge Management in Agriculture
About Company: The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) is an autonomous organisation under the Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE), Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India. Formerly known as Imperial Council of Agricultural Research, it was established on 16 July 1929 as a registered society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 in pursuance of the report of the Royal Commission on Agriculture.
