IITGN Recruitment for JRF, Project Assistants at Gandhinagar

IIT Gandhinagar (IITGN) invites applications for the following project positions for a research project on Integrated Urban Water Management funded jointly by DST-NOW (under Indo-Netherlands science support).

1. JRF (1 post)

• Essential Qualification: BTech/ MTech in Civil/ Mechanical/ Chemical Engineering or related areas with minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in aggregate. Candidates with BTech degree should have a valid GATE score.
• Preferred Skills: Water distribution network (WDN), hydrology, resilience, field work, data acquisition/ Automation of WDN, IOT for WDN, signal processing
• Duration: Initial appointment is for one year, extendable up to 3 years based on performance.
• Remuneration: Rs 31,000/month for first 2 years, then Rs 35, 000/month.

2. Project Assistant (1 post)

• Essential Qualification: BTech/ MBA with minimum 70% marks or equivalent CGPA in aggregate
• Preferred Skills: Field work, data acquisition, survey, interaction with city administration, preparing reports
• Duration: Initial appointment is for one year, extendable up to 3 years based on performance
• Remuneration: Rs 22,000/month.

IIT Gandhinagar (IITGN) invites applications for the following project position for a research project on ‘Developing a device for bed load measurement in mountaineous rivers’. This project is funded jointly by MHRD and DST under IMPRINT-2.

1. JRF (1 post)

• Essential Qualification: BTech/ MTech in Civil Engineering/ Computer Science and Engineering/ Electrical Engineering or related areas with minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in aggregate. Candidates with BTech degree should have a valid GATE score.
• Preferred Skills: Conducting experiments in open channel flows, field work, data acquisition, signal processing
• Duration: Initial appointment is for one year, extendable up to 1 more year based on performance
• Remuneration: Rs 31,000/month
